“The Malcolm (Sandy) Stearns Collection of Historical Staffordshire”

The catalog to a mail-order auction held by David & Linda Arman & Collectors Sales and Services on January 12, March 9 & May 11, 1999.

DISCUSSION:

The three-part catalog to the absentee auctions of Staffordshire transferware from the private collection of legendary Connecticut silver dealer "Sandy" Stearns. The collection was made of of three main parts- Boston State House views by Rogers, Woods, Stevenson, Ridgway and Stubbs - French views and Lafayette by Wood and Clews - and The Sheltered Peasants by Hall. The collection contained many examples of serving ware and hollow ware, and the overall condition of the pieces and clarity and contrast of the views was excellent. An uncommon catalog.

Softcover. 8.5"x11", 140 lots, black & white illustrations.  Crease on rear cover, minor soil but otherwise clean and nice.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OVERSEAS BUYERS, PLEASE NOTE:

SHIPPING: To comply with Ebay’s policies, all packages are shipped using recorded/trackable methods and you should check the postage quotes before completing a purchase. Our International shipping charges are based on the weight, when packed, of each package -we offer “combined shipping charges” for orders for more than one item –this often means the shipping cost for the items is less than it would have been if they had been purchased and shipped one at a time, so please ask us for a shipping quote if you are thinking about buying more than one item. Thanks!

CUSTOMS CHARGES: Your post office may impose a customs charge on your incoming package, we have no control over this and no information about it, please check with your post office for more information. It is against U.S. law and Ebay rules for us to lie on the customs form about the value of packages, please do not ask us to do this.
