Original 1970s British 20 inch x 30 inch Double Crown Poster for the 1970 Werner Herzog Drama EVEN DWARFS STARTED SMALL (AUCH ZWERGE HABEN KLEIN ANGEFANGEN) starring Helmut Doring, Gerd Gickel, Paul Glauer, Gisela Hertwig and Hertel Minkner.

The film was released by The Other Cinema after the success of Aguirre, Wrath of God.

Even Dwarfs Started Small is often read as a commentary on the widespread revolutionary impulses of the 1960s. The film takes place in a mental institution for dwarfs and midgets located on a remote island. Fed up with their incarceration, the inmates stage a coup and run amok in a chaotic flurry of wild behaviour including torture and violence. Shot amid the imposing volcanic landscape of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.
