"My Sister Can Too: A Story about Autism, Friendship, and a Sister's Love" is a book about inclusion. Understanding the characteristics of Autism can help spread knowledge and promote inclusion. Hadley shows her new friend Lily how although little sister Avery plays differently, she can do all the things they can do. It highlights those concepts in daily interaction with neurotypical children, while teaching children to be accepting and inviting to others who may be different than they are. Autism comes in many shapes and sizes. It is not a one size fits all.This is a true and heartwarming story of a particular day in the life of two sisters, one with Autism. Educating is key and the goal is to teach the world not to fear Autism, but to embrace it.
