Reworked version of the prog highlight from 2014 with bonus CD

With “Men Who Climb Mountains” Pendragon delivered one of the major
prog releases of 2014. On this album they essentially continue with their
musical course that they have taken with Pure and Passion, enriched with some
new sound elements and effects and overall more guitar and vocal orientation.
Nick Barrett shines with excellent, versatile guitar work (also on the acoustic
and 12 string guitar) and some gorgeous guitar solos and vocal passages.
The first CD is a reworked version of the album with newly recorded drums by the new drummer Jan Vincent Velazco and a completely new re-mix by Karl Groom and Nick Barrett. It was part of the box set “The First 40 Years“ from 2019 and is available now as separate CD edition.
The bonus CD contains an acoustic house concert “Live at Twig‘s“ from November 2013. It features Nick Barrett with his skills as solo artist and many Pendragon classics.

Climb Mountains” lieferten Pendragon eine der Haupt-Prog-Veröffentlichungen des
Jahres 2014 ab. Darauf setzen sie im wesentlichen den musikalischen Kurs fort,
den sie mit Pure und Passion eingeschlagen haben, angereichert mit einigen
neuen Soundelementen und -effekten und insgesamt stärker gitarren- und
gesangsorientiert. Nick Barrett glänzt mit exzellenter, vielseitiger
Gitarrenarbeit (auch an der akustischen und 12-String-Gitarre) und einigen
tollen Gitarrensoli und Gesangspassagen.
