Author Biography

Anneke Forzani is the President and Founder of Language Lizard , which provides multicultural resources in over 50 languages to schools, libraries, and literacy organizations. Anneke speaks several languages and has spent considerable time working and traveling in Asia and Europe. She presents about culturally responsive teaching and building inclusive classrooms at conferences and workshops. Anneke is the author of the teaching manual Building Bridges with Bilingual Books and Multicultural Resources, and the children's books Happy After All and With Flying Colors: Color Idioms. Maria Russo is a children's book illustrator living in Cordoba, Argentina. Her distinctive illustrations are also in Fresh as a Daisy: Nature Idioms. She has a special passion for multicultural illustrations.
