G. F. Edwards was born in New York City, where he presently makes his home. However, he was raised in a small town in Missouri and has also lived in Kansas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, California, Texas, Washington and Nevada, and has visited 11 foreign countries. A first-semester college dropout in his teens, he returned to college later in life and majored in Literature-Writing, having won an academic scholarship to an Ivy League school. He graduated summa cum laude and was awarded membership in the nation's oldest honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. Having been blessed with the companionship of many beloved pets, he has a particular interest in promoting the welfare of animals and shielding them from abuse. He believes that when we recognize and respect the worth of our fellow creatures, we honor the Lord God who created them.
