This auction features a 1:20 scale replica of the record breaking 1963 Spirit of America Turbine Jet Car. It was produced by Wen-Mac Toys, for the Spirit of America Series, sold through Shell Gas stations, nationwide, in 1964. Car was driven at Bonneville by the legendary Craig Breedlove. In 1963, he became the first man to surpass 400 mph. It comes in decent, still displayable, played with condition (see pics).

1960's Jet Car, #562, is 20" long (51 cm) and in 1:20 scale. It is a windup toy racer. It has silver and blue-violet finish and Spirit of America and Goodyear Tires logos on the side.

It has definite play wear and storage wear (some decals are curling), the finish has some blemishes (see pics) and the parachute and the key (a screwdriver blade will also wind the car) are missing (both are available, as are replacement decals, online), but this very rare toy is unbroken and does not come up for auction (in any condition) very often. It displays well and should make a great addition to your Bonneville Salt Flats style land speed racing or Wen-Mac gas station collectibles.
