Sally Safety & Danger Dan: Sticks and Stones is a motivating and empowering book for kids/youths. 'Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me," is an old saying." But there are times words can hurt you, if you listen to them and believe them. Children are reminded to set goals and believe in themselves. It's about knowing you have a "purpose" and not letting negative comments and people stop you from being "The Best Person You Can Be." Every dream can be realized. Every kid has a purpose. When kids believes in themselves the world is a bigger, brighter, and better place. Join Sally, Dan, and the gang and see how they deal with negative comments. When kids believe in themselves, negative people don't stand a chance. Do you believe in yourself? Are you up for the challenge? Well, let's go!
Jan Virtue created Sally Safety & Danger Dan in 2007. Sally Safety & Danger Dan are Children's Safety Experts, who use a transporter and their watches to get to people who are in danger. Jan saw a lot of unnecessary things happening to children: Buckets of water left in backyards, mint balls and nuts choking children, things we did without thinking that put our kids in danger. That's when she wrote "The Parental Safety Guide" and 12 books on safety. She made flyers and started the "Install A Smoke Detector Campaign". She gives away free smoke detectors and speak about the importance of having them installed in the home. She came up with the "Stop Light Theory," to help kids to Stop and Think. Sally Safety & Danger Dan was endorsed by The Mount Vernon Fire Department, Fire Chief Edward Stevenson, for their Install A Smoke Detector Campaign and Fire Prevention Tips. "We're helping people, we're growing and we're doing something positive - this is a wonderful blessing! Jan Virtue lives in Mount Vernon, New York with her family.
