This is a beautiful well conserved very fine antique silver wire Japanese Meiji Cloisonné vase is in round form with wide body and broad shoulders tapering down to a glared out base.  

The design depict a naturalistic scene of wild song birds in a wisteria vine with lush white and lavender clumps of flowers.  Roses in white and yellow-orange grow from the base.  The vase is very detailed and is packed with decoration.  The background is a dark midnight blue.


The vase is 7 1/2" tall.  Unsigned  Excellent condition except for a small area to the left of the base of the trunk of the vine, above the border where there is some fine crazing and a crack that cannot be seen with the naked eye, and only with bright light cast upon it.  Price adjusted for this issue.  Stand not included.  Ask all questions before bidding.  international bidders - please wait for an invoice when buying;  ebay generated estimates for shipping are usually much higher.
