A Wonderful Early 19th Century Hand Blown Glass Wasp Catcher

Syrup water was put inside & the wasps would fly up from underneath & get stuck in the liquid, unable to get out.

Clear free blown European wasp trap circa 1900, with a bulbous body &  Rounded shoulders swooping into short neck. Lid is in excellent condition; just sits in/on top

A nice example & form which would really complement your home and/or collection. Still functional & can be hung with herbs in it or a table as a centerpiece with flowers in. Or just enjoyed exactly how it is.

In very good antique used condition for an item of this age & nature. Small chips & nibbles around top & rim.

Approx 8" tall x 6.5" wide
