Gorgeous Antique Glowing Ceylon Blue Moonstone Necklace.

Please note that the festoon part of this necklace,  that is the swags and bezels that holds the gems, test for 9K Gold. The gold color is very faint and looks almost like Silver, but it is Gold. When rubbed on a testing board it is gold in color and test as 9K Gold.

The upper chain with clasp must have been added later and test for 925 Sterling.

Do also note that fine early antique Moonstone necklaces as such were set in 9k Gold.

This exact necklace is being sold for almost $4000 from another site ( see second photo), except that theirs has a 9k chain instead of the later added Sterling chain that is on this one. Also the gold on our necklace has not been cleaned or enchanced to look golden. It is faded and almost look Silver.

The mesmerizing blue glow is effortless and intense on these genuine moonstones.

They are like clear jelly with the shimmering adularescence floating just beneath the surface. This swag festoon necklace is set with nineteen bezels of clear, glowing Moonstones of the finest quality.

These were also tested with a Presidium 2 tester to make sure it reads the stones as gems.

Wearable length is 18 inches.

Center drop with the three Moonstones is 35mm.

Largest cabochon is 12.5mm or 0.49 inch × 7.5 mm × 0.29 inch.

Tests for 9K Gold and upper links tests as solid 925 Sterling Silver.

Weighs 9.1 Grams.
