To mark the 40th anniversary of the cult series Transformers™, the New Zealand Mint has issued this rectangular silver coin in color. The motive was designed by Bill Sienkiewicz and is based on the cover of the 1984 comic "Transformers #1". The coin's weight and fineness as well as the copyright and the official 40th anniversary logo are also included in the design. The reverse shows the portrait of King Charles III as well as the denomination and the year of issue.
