Engleman Spruce tonewood for guitar making.

or for bouzouki, mandolin, mandola etc etc etc.

In the interest of full disclosure, at this price, there are some knots and grain imperfections.  you should have no difficulty getting a mandolin, tenor or parlour guitar from each set, but maybe not a jumbo!

Anyway, dimensions are approx 21" x 7 1/2" (56 x 21cm) and 0.180 or 4.5mm thick for each of the two bookmatched pieces in the set.

I made 90 instruments over the years, and these tops will make great sounding instruments

Now, we all know that wood is a natural product that allows moisture to move in and out from the atmosphere.  All these pieces are stores flat and are flat when they leave me into the loving care of the courier.  If the atmosphere between my door and yours is either very moist or very dry, then the relative humidity of the wood can change.  This is completely normal. If the wood "cups" then place it under a weight and leave it for a few days.  it will stabilise in your workshop environment again and all will be fine and dandy.  Thanks.

If you want to see the sort of things I was making, google martinedwardsluthier for my blog.

I have a load of stuff listed, so yes, of course I'll combine shipping.... If you want a range of items then put them in the basket and request a total.

If you want to try and arrange your own courier, then that's fine, I'm perfectly happy to allow that, the dimensions are above, add 1 cm or two all round for packaging. they weigh about 200g a set. work it out for yourself!!

For UK postage I use MyHermes. They have a section on the online booking for "safe place to leave the parcel" if you aren't home when they try to deliver. if you want to put something in that box then include the info as a message with your payment.

Hermes have put their prices up so to stop me having to raise prices, I will use whichever service is cheaper...

2nd class Post or Hermes.  Thanks for your understanding

Please leave positive feedback to let me know the wood arrived safely. If there are any problems, PLEASE get in touch so that I can put them right before you get all negative on me!

Final note. Due to Brexit and currency fluctuations as a result, my costs have gone up by 20%. I have NOT yet increased my selling prices, but I can't guarantee ho long I'll be able to sustain this. What I'm really saying is if you think you MIGHT want to buy, do it sooner rather than later!

thanks for looking
