Antique Gold Band Sterling Silver Thimble by Waite, Thresher Co. * Circa 1890s This sterling silver thimble has a wide gold 10 panel band with engraved geometric designs on alternate panels. Inside the top is marked with the size (9), "Sterling" and the star logo for the Waite, Thresher Co. of Providence, RI. This thimble is shown on p. 127 (Plate 43-4) of Gay Ann Rogers' book American Silver Thimbles. The condition is excellent, in round with no holes or repairs. It has no personalization.
