Other:                        Remarkable photograph of the serving table for an event taking place at the Chicago Club.  The mount is printed with the following, “Ambassadors’ Luncheon for guests of Women’s Auxiliary Board, Chicago Boys Club, Hosts, Herbert J. Lorber and John L. McCoffery, Chicago Club, November 29, 1957.”  It shows a giant scale model of a horse show with a sign at the end of the table that reads, “International Livestock Exposition and Horse Show, Benefit Performance for Women’s Auxiliary of the Chicago Boys Clubs.” 

 

                                    The huge model horse show includes small riders and horses with jumps.  There are small scale banners and international flags surrounding the grounds.  The serving plates show a 1900 scene of Chicago’s Park Row.

 

                                    Charles Kaufmann and Herman Fabry opened their first studio together in 1903 becoming one of the staples of Chicago’s documentary and news related photo services.  Many of their images included large panoramas of the city as well as many photos of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox teams.
