Unsure if the Abalone is cracked on the middle wing, or if that is part of the mosaic inlay. Does not distract from this gorgeous piece.
Vintage metal pieces (Sterling, Copper, Gold) have not been cleaned. We gently wipe with a polishing cloth thereby allowing the buyer to determine the level of patina they desire. Our items are "not for scrap".
We are not gemologists and opinions provided on stones and gems are based on our limited knowledge and scope of our testing equipment.

We do not clean vintage items and leave that to the discretion of the buyer. All vintage items will show signs of wear consistent with age, as should be expected.
We consider "vintage" to be 25+ years old (from late 1990's or before), and "antique" to be 100+ years old (from mid 1920's or before).
