It was truly difficult to determine exactly what this piece is.  The Roman numerals on the base told me is was probably a sundial but, the glass globe with the metal rod going through it hinted it may be a lightening ball.  It's heavy (3.25 lbs), sturdy and in darn good condition.  It stands 12.5" tall and about 9" wide (includes the arrow).  Whatever it exactly is, it's perfect for antique collectors or those who appreciate unique decor - this item is sure to impress.
