Christiane F. is a 14-year-old girl who lives with her mother in a typical beehive apartment in Berlin in the mid-70s. Her greatest wish is to escape that reality and go to the Sound, the most modern nightclub in Berlin. One day her friend Kessi sneaks inside with her. In the Sound he meets Detlev, with whom he falls in love, and his group of friends, who are dedicated to dealing drugs. To feel at the same level as Detlev and not be left behind, Christiane flirts with drugs until she finally tries heroin, which, even though she is aware of its danger, remains hooked, just like Detlev and the rest. Christiane will thus enter a spiral of degradation that will drive her to prostitute herself in order to pay for her shots.
