The true life experiences of an air gunner with the Royal Air Force in World War II. Ron James, known in the service as 'Jimmy', joined the Air Force in 1942 and served as a mid-upper gunner in the crew of Squadron Leader Bill Day, DFC. He completed two tours of operations. His first tour was with No 90 Squadron on Stirling Bombers, where he took part in raids on Hamburg, Essen, Turin, Peenemunde, Berlin & Mannheim. His second tour was with No 214 Squadron on B-17 Flying Fortresses as part of 100 Group secret countermeasures operations.'I was one of the Brylcreem Boys' is a story of life and death, courage and fear, camaraderie and ingenuity.
