Go "ZIP CODE" all the way.  Here are two promotional stamps, the U.S. Post Office used to promote the use of Zip Code.


The first stamp was issued in 1974 to replace the single digit zone numbers in use by the major cities and towns throughout the United States.  It was a 10-cent regular denomination postage stamp.


The stamp offered here is mint, never hinged, and is a wonderful stamp for sure. See Scott #1511.


The other stamp offered is the "ZIP +4" unused stamp, which was a short-lived stamp in its own right. This stamp is unused but has no glue. The backing is absolutely clean, however. See Scott #2150a.
