- Brass case medal has a high relief racing motif on the front, along with: "S.D.S. German American A.A."
- Reverse is engraved: "7-4-34 1st Pl."
- Original ribbon is German Flag Colored, with a brass pinback.
- Measures approx, 3" from top of ribbon to bottom of medal.
- Great addition to any collection!
This medal came from an interesting period for German-Americans. Nazi Germany had been in power for over a year and it's rise was on the move. Tensions began to develop with Germans in America.
Condition:
Good overall condition. The medal itself shows some minor scratching and a few small nicks from age. The ribbon shows some heavy wear, and the pinback has some mild patina.
