Deskundologisch Tijdschrift

Author: Insekten Sekte
Title: Deskundologisch Tijdschrift
Publication: Amsterdam: Insektensekte, 1971
Edition: First edition

Description: 4to, 42 pp, gluebound in illustrated wrappers with two colors of spraypaint applied. Profusely illustrated. Text in Dutch.

First and only issue of this periodical issued by the Insekten Sekte, the first ecological artist group in the Netherlands. A magazine unlike any we've ever seen. It includes a generous section of musical content, including instructions for building a fruitorgel, an electronic method of listening to the sounds of fruit, as well as instructions for a new and novel way of playing the violin, an unusual way to seek erotic relief, as well as poems and songs on ecological themes, such as a song about herbicide. The masthead notes the participation of the Resistentie Orkest. A gorgeous and ludic publication like nothing else published in that decade (or since).

Rare, especially intact and in this condition. . OCLC locates only 5 holdings, none of which is in the US.

Fine.
