Especially since this considerable work was to allow him to write this work dedicated to the Maison de Graule, a farm in Cîteaux, built in the 12th century, in the heart of the Limon mountain, and to bring back a great era: that of a resurgence of the Christian faith marked by the decisive action of Saint Robert, the abbot of Molesmes and Saint Bernard, the first abbot of Clairvaux. Certainly, the destiny of the House of Graule was brief - it covered a little more than two centuries - but it still appears today as an essential period in the history of the Limon plateau, both for the revival of religious fervor and she brought to these places only for the exploitation of the land.
