The setting of this title is the "Magi Val Continent" where demons have existed since ancient times. People once held peace with the five holy stones that sealed the demons. However, as their existence is almost forgotten, the "Grado Empire," which guards one of the holy stones, claims supremacy over the entire continent and begins its invasion. What has become of Prince Ephraim of the Renez Kingdom who went missing in the chaos of battle? His twin sister Eirika, of the Frelia Kingdom, flees and seeks help. What will be her fate?
This title focuses on the "development" aspect, with the addition of the "Great Knight" and "Wyvern Knight" as advanced classes that can be changed to. The Great Knight boasts high defense and can use three types of weapons, while the Wyvern Knight handles only spears and can nullify the opponent's defense with the "piercing" skill, allowing for complex strategies with the ability to switch between them.
In addition to the branching class change and map movement systems, this installment also introduces monsters as enemies. This is a welcome change as previously, the opponents for experience grinding were only human units. Build up experience fighting against wicked monsters and challenge the true enemy.
