Vintage Taxi Dance Card Bracelet w/ Jeweled Writing Pad & Dime Coin Holder

Rare vintage gold-tone charm bracelet was worn in American "taxi dance" halls in the first half of the twentieth century.

O
ne charm is a spring-loaded jeweled cylinder that can hold multiple dimes. Men would purchase a dance ticket for a dime to dance for one song.

The other charm is a jeweled writing pad with tiny blank sheets of paper to write details of the dance partners. This pad has a tiny ring that can close over a corner of the pad to help lock it.

The designs of these charms suggest this bracelet is from the 1940s or 1950s.

Bracelet lengths is approx. 7-1/2 inches end to end.
