About This Items
- This is "SIX FIGURINES", a goblet with a 6 figurines on it, designed by R. Lalique in 1911. This work in the Art Nouveau style are painted on six sides in the style of window paintings. Like early Lalique works, it is colored with clear glass, frosted glass, and patina coloring. The technique that allows the creation of such precise molds on a small glass surface is largely a reflection of the refinement of metal processing techniques honed during the jewelry era, and is an indispensable masterpiece when discussing Lalique's early works. A total of 35 types of works have been created for the goblet item, but only two of them have human motifs.
