Artist Anne Choi sculpts her molds by hand in leather-hard clay, which is then fired. A wax impression is taken from this mold, encased in a plaster investment, and cast in sterling silver. Then the rough casting is further worked into the finished piece. Finally, she creates a patina on her beads with liver of sulfur to emphasize its design and texture.
