1896 Solid Silver Sugar Bowl and Cream / Milk Jug.

Excellent quality very decorative heavy solid silver. The weight and design show this was made by a well respected and experienced silversmith.

Fully Hallmarked for Sibray, Hall and Co (Job Frank Hall), London, England. 1896.

The sugar bowl is beautifully elongated helmet shaped with two handles that are easy to handle and have acanthus leaf decoration, scalloped top edge, standing straight on four good legs with shaped pad feet. One foot is slightly twisted, however, this does not stop it from standing straight. Small ding to one side on the front panel, almost link a line, mainly seen from the inside.

The milk jug is helmet shaped, a lovely handle with acanthus leaf decoration, scalloped shaped top, standing straight on three legs with shaped pad feet. In excellent condition with no flaws found.
