1910 Solid Silver repoussed Bas Relief Box.

Engraved to the inner rim of the lid:

J.T.B. & M.B. 3rd Nov. 1885-1910. (A silver wedding anniversary).

Full English Hallmarks for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester, England. 1910.

Lovely box with very high relief detail, originally gilted to the outside. The box has a very good well fitted hinged lid.

The top of the box has two men playing a board game with a dog at their feet, while a woman holding a baby watches on from the doorway of the building that has a leaded window and a climbing vine. All four sides have country scenes and country folk working, dancing and riding.

In very good much pre-loved and used antique condition, with wear to the gilding from lovingly polishing, no other faults found. No dings, no dents or splits found.

Measurements approximately:

Height: 4cm (1.1/2”)

Box: 8.5cm x 9cm (3.1/8” x 3.1/2”)

Weight: 159.73g

I have given it a quick wipe over, but as with all my items I don't over clean or polish. There may be the odd age related wear/mark commensurate with age, anything of note is listed above.

Please see all photos using the zoom function available, as they constitute the item description.
