Description
This is a really stunning antique Victorian deed or document writing box by JW Allen based in The Strand London. The box is beautifully covered and bound in black Moroccan leather and has brass fittings to handle and beautifully made brass hinges. The box has fittings and compartments to the interior for pens and documents with removable trays and covers. The back is hinged to allow the document folder compartment to move forward. The lock is present but there is no key to check function.
This measures 50cm wide, 38cm deep and 21cm high when closed.
