Jasmine (Jasminum officinale) has a warm, exotic, floral fragrance that relaxes, soothes, uplifts, and enhances self-confidence. Jasmine is beneficial for the skin. It has been used throughout history for romance and attraction and for balancing the feminine energy of the body.

Jasmine oil made from various species of the plant has been found to have antibacterial properties. Its antiseptic effects have been extensively studied and found to fight various bacteria. Jasmine oil may be effective in treating and preventing infections when diluted and applied to the skin or used as a rinse for oral infections, such as oral thrush.

Jasmine’s romantic scent has long been believed to have an aphrodisiac effect. We do know that inhaling jasmine or using it in aromatherapy massage improves mood and has been reported to increase romantic and positive feelings, as well as energy levels. Try to dab some of the oil on your neck. Your body heat will enhance the scent. You can also add a few drops on bedding, to a warm bath, or to a diffuser in the bedroom.

Jasmine is used as a home remedy to treat spasms in various parts of the body, from cramp-producing stomach spasms to spasmodic cough.

Jasmine oil may have a cicatrizing effect and promote wound healing through the formation of scar tissue. We know that jasmine oil has antiseptic properties that are beneficial in treating skin infections as has anti-inflammatory properties, so can be useful in general skin care and the treatment of psoriasis. Jasmine extract is able to speed up healing of chronic wounds, such as diabetic ulcers. It significantly enhanced wound contraction and granulation tissue formation, and increased new blood vessel formation. Applying diluted jasmine oil to minor wounds, such as small scratches and cuts, may help them heal faster.

Jasmine has been used for years to treat symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes and depression. A small study found that aromatherapy massage once a week for eight weeks greatly reduced menopause symptoms. Some experts believe that the brain effects of jasmine inhalation may be connected to hormonal changes that result in increased lactation. The massages were performed using a combination of essential oils of jasmine, lavender, rose, and rose geranium in a carrier oil.

How To Use

• Inhalation: Gently breathe in the delightful scents.
• Beauty: Add one or two drops to your moisturiser for soft and supple skin.
• Bathing: Add 6-8 drops into a hot bath, taking in the bright notes.
• Massage: Dilute a few drops into 10 ml of Young Living V-6® Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex for an enlivening massage.
• Perfume: Blends well with Rose, Geranium or Lemon.

Post and Packing costs include:  padded envelopes, wrapping materials, sealed bags for beads and jewellery, my packaging and time, including immediate transport to the Post Office. All my items are usually posted using Royal Mail delivery (normally delivered during 2 days, some even NEXT DAY, as many of my customers will confirm, check my feedback please).  If items are purchased and paid for before the end of the working day, I will always do my best to post them immediately to ensure the earliest delivery.
