Fine quality unusual porcelain handled basket, circa
1900, by the
Kinkozan company. Finely hand painted in polychrome enamels and gilt, depicting
thousand flowers, the decoration is delicately executed. Marked underneath.
Kinkozan produced very high quality art work during late Meiji period and created masterpieces. The handle has a slight hairline (shown in the last photos), otherwise the basket is in good conditions with some wear to the gilt.
