A beautiful William IV mahogany and rosewood card table from around 1830. The table has a brass hinged swivel top with storage underneath which opens to show a patterned baize top that could be changed to your preferred colour baize. The rectangular top with rounded corners is over a simple crossbanded frieze of rosewood and a tapering shaped pillar with beaded collar. The whole piece stands on a shaped quadripartite base with beaded edging, scrolled feet and castors.

CONDITION

This is in good, sturdy condition given its age. There is some wood shrinkage to the top as can be seen in photo 9 and in the storage compartment in photo 10. There are some small veneer losses as can be seen in photos 11 and 12. These defects do not detract from this lovely looking piece.
