LIt is a privilege to offer this superb 19th century Coromandel travelling vanity box.

This vanity box is of extremely high quality and grand scale featuring two pull out draws, pearl inlay, mirror and a fully complete silver plated set.

The exterior still retains a high level of gloss which makes the deep Coromandel grain pop.

Please understand this box is 150 years old, the condition is good however it does show some age. I will try to be as honest as I can regarding imperfections.

Imperfections:

There is veneer damage to the front upper and lower left corners.

Corner damage to the front bottom left.

Veneer damage to rear left lid.

There is an indentation on the front edge of the lid.

The left hand side of the box is showing a 2-3mm gap although is not lose.

Crack around hinge.

Please see last images for these imperfections.

IMPORTANT The provided key with tassel is not the original key and is only included for decoration. This key does NOT activate the lock, using this key may damage the lock.

Overall this is a gorgeous vanity box that displays very well. With Queen Victoria's unapologetic love for Coromandel wood this box would have been an in demand statement of wealth for the original owner.
