■Solid Yakusugi wood body that is over 2000 years old

As we have already introduced, the body of the EX1000 is made from solid Yaku cedar, a rare tree that is over 2000 years old. The annual rings grow only about 1 to 2 mm a year, so the wood grain is very tight, and it is also characterized by the fact that it stores a resin unique to Yaku cedar in its body to prevent it from corroding in a rainy environment. By utilizing this rare material as the body of the cartridge, we were able to create a complex and sensual sound. Also, due to its rarity as wood, there is no doubt that it will become difficult to obtain in the future. (EX1000 will also be in limited production until suitable Yaku cedar is available.)

■Ruby cantilever

Ruby, which is said to be the second hardest stone after diamond, was carved and used as a cantilever. The speed of transmitting vibrations is fast, and the information engraved in the grooves of the record is quickly transmitted. Sapphire is a corundum-based mineral, but the ingredients contained in it are different; ruby contains chromium.

■Super Curve line contact Ver.2 needle

The "Super Curve Line Contact", which was newly developed during the development of the EX1, has been very well received by customers who have purchased it. This time, we have newly developed "Ver.2", which is an updated version of this needle. Although it is a line contact shape, it retains the goodness of the "Super Curve Line Contact" in which only the leading edge of the needle tip has a curvature similar to that of a round needle, but has been given a more multifaceted cutting to pick up all the information on the record. I designed it. In particular, the reproduction of "live instruments" and "human voices" is exquisite, and you will feel a kind of "sensual" sound. Another big feature is that you won't feel any inner circumference distortion. Also, since it is difficult to pick up the "bottom crackling sound" that is characteristic of original records from a slightly older era, which is a problem for record fans, it allows you to immerse yourself in the sound of the record. They also have better wear resistance than regular line contact needles, so they have a long lifespan, which is a big advantage.

■Beeswax finish

In order to maximize the resonance of the body, the only surface finish was beeswax. Therefore, the body color will change over time, but I think you will be able to enjoy the taste of the product as you use it.

■Wood body carved from solid hard maple that has been aged for many years

The ``wood body made of solid wood'' is a characteristic of Analog Relax cartridges. Like the EX3, the EX3r uses "hard maple" that has been aged well for many years. Wood is widely used in musical instruments, and it does not have the inherent vibrations of resin or metal, giving it a more natural sound.
