Hi neighbor ,

This little counter top bell would be the type used in old general stores to summons the store clerk when a customer was in need of assistance .

Although some are still used in businesses today , this one comes from a different era , well made with a balanced dinger that works flawlessly and creates a pleasant melodious ding !

It has a black worn and slightly rusted finish (see pics) from many years of use .

This little jewel measures 3 3/8 inches across the bottom and is about 2 1/2 inches high , and weighs about 4 ounces .

A neat little piece of American history .
