I was not 100% sure on the actual part number for the helmet so I left this off intentionally. The rest of the part numbers shown give me confidence that they are correct. The inner marking says oct 1965 and the outer stamp says 65/66/67.

This vintage helmet and oxygen mask set is a must-have for any military memorabilia collector. This Jet Pilot Flight Helmet Sierra MBU-5/P Oxygen Mask was used by the USAF sometime after 65/66/67. The set is in excellent condition for the age, but not without its flaws. The inner leather is plush, but does have some cracking. I didn’t wipe it down with anything. I’m sure I could have used a damp cloth to while it down a bit. I wanted it to left as is to not cause any further damage with chemicals or incorrectly cleaning. This comes with all original parts as far as I can tell. Its unique design and air force theme make it a great addition to any collection. It looks to have been customized with the lightning bolts across the top. The visor swing is broken as well (crack shown in the pictures) however the visor itself is in good condition. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this piece of history. The few that come up always seem to be much later productions.
