Awesome piece of West German pottery from Steuler Keramik up for grabs! Retro styled vase, produced around the late 1970s.


A BIT OF HISTORY-

Steuler Keramiks (1917 – 1996)

Steuler was founded in 1917 and based in Hohr-Grenzhausen, a town in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate region of Germany. The town is a centre for the ceramic industry in the Kannenbäckerland with a professional college for ceramic and is 'nicknamed' the Kannenbäckerstadt (roughly, “Jug Baking Town”). Steuler are known for their high quality pieces with stunning glazes, their most famous series was the “Zyklon” decor range which was designed by Cari Zalloni.


Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Very minor crazing present on the underside of the base, to be expected on ceramic pieces from this time period. Please refer to photos as they form part of the condition report. The underside of the base is marked with Steuler's mark and the model number '345/10'. Measures approximately 5” tall, and 6” wide.
