Description: It is an authentic antique map approximately 207 years old, blank on reverse with original hand coloring as issued. It is from William Darton's Union Atlas containing New and Improved Maps of all the Empires, Kingdoms & States in the Known World, published in London by William Darton, 1812, as stated in the bottom margin. It is dated "Jan. 26, 1812 by William Darton, London" in the bottom center margin. A facsimile copy of the title page is included for authenticity, see the pics for the title page copy. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as seen in the main pic, see the pics. Overall, a very rare map in very nice condition that would frame up nicely.
Size: The dimensions of the map areas between the neat lines measure approximately 8 1/2 by 10 inches (22x26cm) on a 12 1/2 by 15 1/2" page (32x39cm) page
Condition: The map is in Very Good condition for its age printed on a bright high cotton page, light tonal ageing as expected, blank on the reverse, hand numbered in the corner. There is light browning in the upper corner and darkening around the edges, otherwise it is a very clean and well preserved map that would frame up well, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map, the actual map looks much better.
