Description: It is a set of two authentic antique maps approximately 85 years old. There is a "Copyright by C.S. Hammond & Co., NY" in small print near the bottom borders. They are not dated, but were printed during the 1930s according to the census that appears on the reverse on some of the similar maps we have listed, most have a county and town index on the reverse. The main attraction are the details concerning railroads which have numbers corresponding to the specific areas where they operated, see the detailed pics. They are not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as two separate sheets as shown against a dark background in the pics. A nice set of large maps for framing that one could join if desired. These are fairly rare to find, great for those interested in early railroad history.
Size: The map image areas between the neat lines measure approximately 11 by 18 inches (28x46cm) on a 12 1/2 by 20" (32x51cm) pages.
Condition: They are in very good condition with some darkening around the edges, a couple of minor edge tears on the corners repaired on reverse and a couple of slightly trimmed margins, otherwise they are very clean, nice and flat for framing, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual maps.
