Description:  It is an authentic steel engraved antique map published by the Geological Survey of Canada under the direction of Robert Bell to illustrate report of R.G. McConnell in 1890, as stated on the map. The map was drawn up by C.O. Senecal and Scott Barlow as stated in the bottom left margin. The map shows a remote Arctic area in the Northwest Territories of a stretch of the Mackenzie River from Fort McPherson down to the Fort of Good Hope, with good details of the geological formations along the river. The map is not matted, mounted or framed, being sold as shown in the main pic. A Very Large Rare Map!

Size: The map image measures approximately 18 by 29 inches (45x73cm) on a 21 by 32" page (53x81cm)

Condition: The map is in Good or better condition for a folding map, blank on the reverse with multiple folds, 2 horizontal and 5 vertical, as issued. There is light tonal ageing as expected, and some wear along the edges and folds and a couple of short inch splits at the top of the folds and minor pin holes at the intersection of a couple of the folds. There are a few brown spots along the folds, otherwise fairly clean. Overall, a well preserved map that can still be folded. The pics are of the actual map being sold.
