Up for auction is a vintage and rare 1940's Helen Harper brand Donkey Serenade women's novelty wool sweater.  Sweater features cool guitar, music notes, cacti, palm trees, and serape / poncho clad men on their donkeys.  I believe this sweater was made for the world famous song, Donkey Serenade, published in 1936, and was sung Allan Jones in the movie 'Firefly'.  I never seen another one of these sweaters before.

Overall condition is excellent with a couple very minor seam nibbles on the waist band and two very minor 1/4" holes on waist band on backside as well as one 1/2" nibble next to donkey's heel on right front of sweater.

Measurements:

1) Chest / Bust:  20-1/4" (40-1/4" doubled, can be stretched)

2) Shoulders:  17-1/2"

3) Overall Length:  18-1/2" 

4) Waist:  12-1/2" (25" doubled, can be stretched)

5) Outer Sleeve:  19"

6) Inner Sleeve:  15-1/2"
