2002/03 Reggina Home Shirt - Nakamura 10

Iconic, Nakamura’s signing from Yokohama Marinos made huge headlines, and made a lot of money too proving Pasquale Foti’s decision to bring him in a wise one. 25,000 shirts were sold with his name on in the first 5 months of his arrival, crazy. He was to help Gli Amaranto survive relegation after a 14th place finish was only enough to give them a chance of staying up, having to play Atalanta in the ‘spareggio’, basically translating to a game that needs to have a winner to decide who gets relegated. It was to finish 0-0 in the first leg and then 2-1 in Reggina’s favour in the second leg, a certain Francesco Cozza being one of the 2 scorers, who had to give up the number 10 shirt once after Nakamura’s arrival in Calabria.

Shirt in good condition, slight residue pictured on the back and a little loose stitching on the front, plenty of life left in it. Flock nameset.
