Im the original owner, I do not know if this item works still or not as I no longer have any cassettes. I will try and find one to test it, but it's definitely good for parts. All buttons work, the cassette door opens and stays closed. The bayyery holder snaps in perfect. The only flaw is that one of the foam headphones is missing the foam on the left side.
