This is an antique, matted chromolithograph cartoon from, JUDGE, a political magazine that was quite popular in its day, and very popular among political cartoon collectors today. This series of cartoons are clever, beautifully illustrated and provide an historical picture of the state of politics in 1888.

Condition: EXCELLENT --  Clear, clean, very colorful and bright; no  tears, creasing or folds, and good margins, perfect for framing. A really beautiful image. Nice dark lines and definition.  See all the close-ups.


This cartoon is about 135 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old color lithograph from the aforementioned publication, not a modern reproduction.
The visible part of the print is  9 1/2" x 12 1/2"; matted the print measures 12" x 16". This is a standard size matte that will fit into a standard size frame. No costly custom frames required. Ready to be framed and preserved.


About The Mats
