An exceptional and rare 1970s museum model of Triceratops, made by Alan Braddock and clearly influenced by the earlier illustrations of Neave Parker and Charles R.Knight.

Alan Braddock (Saftvale) took out an advert for his large scale dinosaur models in at least two Geological journals in 1975. The offer must have been taken up by several institutions and some of his models are still on display at the Liverpool World Museum, including the Triceratops, a 1.5m long Apatosaurus, a Trachodon and an Ankylosaurus. Images can be found quite easily online. There are probably others installed that are not mentioned. Saftvale also used the models for a series of popular postcards and badges. Braddock's models were still being used on postcards up to 1990 and possibly longer.

This highly detailed, hollow resin cast model (Braddock’s casting process was clearly of the highest standards) is approximately 44cms long.

Case 56cm long x 30cm high.

There are ten easily removeable screws around the base and four easily removeable screws holding the model firmly in place. It will travel very safely and securely in transit.
