A Military Prismatic compass Mk III dated 1943 with the crows foot mark and the serial number No B 227031. The makers mark is T.G. Co Ltd London (The gramophone company). But as the letter "B" is applied as the prefix to the serial number the compass was made by F Barker & Son of London. The mark III  was produced 1932 until the late 1960's and was standard issue to the British army throughout WW2.

The compass is in good working condition and the floating dial pivots freely. both the compass and sight glasses are in tact with no cracks. However like many compasses of this age some of the fluid has evaporated and could do with a refill.
