Tootsietoy Tootsie Toy 1956 Pontiac Safari

Offered here is a beautiful vintage Tootsietoy / Tootsie Toy diecast model of the 1956 Pontiac Safari station wagon. Although Tootsietoy is often associated with much smaller toys, this one is approximately 7" long (roughly 1/28 scale). It features a partially detailed chassis, front and back seats, dashboard and steering wheel, and an opening/closing tailgate. The exterior is painted two-tone blue and a light bluish gray.  The toy does show very light wear (minor paint losses mostly on the passenger side), but in my opinion is in excellent collectable condition.  I would say the paint is 95%+ in tact.  Clearly marked on underside, "Pontiac Safari.  Tootsietoy, Chicago 24, U.S.A."  Please view the photographs for better details, as they are an important part of the description.  A fine addition to your collection to be sure.
