A few look to be cards he purchased (such as the "Sultan"). Also contains some personal scrapbook type items: letter, announcements, nightclub ticket, etc. As seen, includes a ship party for USS Barker, Aug 1939, at Beach Cafe, Chefoo China. Photos from Peking, the Great Wall, Hong Kong, several battle ships, and graphic photos from the bombing of Shanghai in 1937 (outside the Cathey Hotel). Some photos of the seaman's lovely bride, and the couple as they were older.
