postmarked January 4, 2016 at Cody, Wyoming. This 455' merchant cargo vessel

was one of a large group of Victory Ships named for American Cities.

This ship was launched on Dec 15, 1944 by Calif. Shipbuilding Corp. in Los Angeles, CA and named for the City of Cody, WY. This proud new ship transported vital supplies to US and Allied Forces during WW II. See her web pages for details of her design, construction and service history.
